Last updated September 12, 2026. Penni Technologies, Inc.
These are the terms for using Penni, the bookkeeping service run by Penni Technologies, Inc. at penni.so and app.penni.so. When you use Penni, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Penni.
We wrote them in plain words. Where the law needs an exact term, we use it.
Penni is an AI bookkeeping service for small businesses and real estate agents. It connects to your QuickBooks Online, your Gmail inbox and, if you choose, your bank and card accounts. It finds receipts and bank activity, asks you about them by text, and records what you approve in QuickBooks. It also tracks invoices, shows your cash and a forecast, and reminds you about tax deadlines.
Today Penni works with QuickBooks Online. Other accounting platforms are not supported yet.
You must be at least 18 and allowed to act for the business you connect. By using Penni you confirm both.
You agree not to:
Bank and card connections are provided through our data partner, Quiltt, Inc., and the bank data providers it works with, such as MX. Your bank login goes to them, never to Penni. Bank data is read only. Penni cannot move money, make a payment, or change anything at your bank.
Your consent. By connecting a bank or card account, you give your express consent for Quiltt, Inc. and its providers to get your account data, such as your transactions and balances, from your bank on your behalf, and to give that data to Penni so Penni can keep your books. You can take this consent back at any time by disconnecting the account on the Settings page.
Quiltt's End User Terms. When you connect an account, you also agree to Quiltt's End User Terms at www.quiltt.io/policies/terms-and-conditions, and the following terms, which protect Quiltt the same way. Quiltt and its providers are not responsible for the accuracy of the data your bank sends, for a bank that stops sending it, or for any loss that comes from that data. They may deny or end access to their service for any account that breaks these terms or the law. Quiltt is a third party beneficiary of this section and may enforce it. You will not use Quiltt's service to compete with Quiltt, and you will not try to get around its security. Your account data is stored and processed in the United States.
Quiltt and its providers may keep and use the data your bank sends as their own terms and privacy policies allow. Penni uses it only to keep your books, as the Privacy Policy says.
Penni connects to QuickBooks Online, Gmail and Twilio (for texts). Your use of those services is under their own terms. By connecting them you let Penni read and act within the permissions you grant, and you can take that access back at any time. Penni is not responsible for changes those services make that affect what Penni can do.
By giving Penni your mobile number, you agree that Penni may text you about your books. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop.
Penni sells three plans. Each is paid monthly or yearly. Every plan starts with 30 days free, and then the full price.
Catch-Up Bookkeeping: $999.00, paid once. It is not a subscription and has no free days.
Penni automates bookkeeping. It is not a licensed accountant, financial advisor or tax professional, and nothing in Penni is financial, tax or legal advice. On Penni Pro, a certified bookkeeper reviews and signs off your books each month. On Penni CFO, a partner CPA prepares and files your business tax return. Ask a qualified professional before you make a tax or financial decision.
Penni records entries at your direction and, where it asks, after you confirm. You are responsible for the truth of what you tell Penni and confirm, for the accuracy of your books, and for keeping the records the law requires, such as receipts and invoices. Penni keeps copies of receipts to help you, as the Privacy Policy says, but it does not promise that those copies meet every legal requirement, and it does not replace your own records.
How Penni collects, stores, shares and deletes your data is set out in the Privacy Policy at app.penni.so/privacy. It is part of these terms. These terms do not repeat it, so there is one place to read.
Your data is yours. Penni claims no ownership over your financial records, your business information or your files. The Penni name, logo, site and technology belong to Penni.
Penni is provided as is and as available. Penni uses AI, and AI makes mistakes: a wrong category, a wrong number, a wrong summary. Penni does not promise to be error free or uninterrupted. Review what Penni shows you before you rely on it or confirm anything.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Penni disclaims every warranty, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Penni's total liability to you for any claim about Penni will not be more than what you paid Penni in the 3 months before the claim. Penni is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages.
Penni is not liable for tax penalties, interest, fines, audit costs or similar costs that come from errors in your records, missing documents, wrong information you gave Penni, or your tax filings.
You agree to defend and hold Penni harmless from claims, damages and costs, including legal fees, that come from your use of Penni, your breaking of these terms, or your breaking of someone else's rights.
You can stop using Penni at any time, cancel your plan from the Settings page, and ask Penni to delete your account there. Penni may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or harm Penni or other customers. When access ends, your data is handled as the Privacy Policy says, and your books stay in QuickBooks.
Penni may change these terms as the service changes. Active customers get at least 14 days notice of a material change, by text or email, before it takes effect. Using Penni after that date means you accept the change. The date at the top is the date of the last change.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute is resolved in the courts of Florida.
